The Conyers Police Department received a meal, a time for fellowship, and a whole lot of appreciation from a local business. On September 13, 2017, High Priority Plumbing showed their appreciation during Emergency Preparedness Month when they provided subs to the police officers.
“We recently had the honor of catering Firehouse Subs to our local law enforcement at the Conyers Police Department. We are so appreciative of all that they do to help keep our community safe,” said Paulette Simpson, owner of High Priority Plumbing.
Caring for our local law enforcement by showing appreciation and respect can help create better rhetoric between their organization and the community. They are an important part of our community and work hard, continuously risking their lives to keep us safe. They deserve our respect, support, and appreciation.
“Our law enforcement has a tough job. They put their lives on the line for us each and every day to make the community a better, safer place to live,” said Paulette Simpson. “They make a positive impact on our lives with their service. We wanted to show that we appreciate them by taking a moment to make a positive impact on their lives.”
In addition to catering subs to the Conyers Police Department, High Priority Plumbing also gave $1,000 as a sponsor to the Covington Fuzz Run. The Fuzz Run was held on September 9, 2017, and is one of the largest participatory races in Covington. All proceeds raised from the Fuzz Run go to the Police Who Care, Inc. Fund to support local charitable organizations and families of officers who have died in the line of duty.
High Priority Plumbing has consistently supported organizations in the community. In May, they participated in Hands Across Rockdale, which hosts an annual community service day. In September, they also helped as a sponsor for United Way’s Annual BBQ. The support for our local first responders brings another level of fulfilling their commitment to increase the quality of life in our community.
